Browser Compatibility

Supported browsers and recommendations for the SoloFire web app.

The SoloFire web app is a modern, high-performance web application. For the best experience, use a current version of any major browser.

Compatible Browsers

Google Chrome™ — most recent, stable version (recommended). SoloFire tests against and supports the most recent version of Chrome. Chrome auto-updates to keep you on the latest security fixes, and no special configuration is required.

Microsoft Edge® — most recent, stable version. Fully supported; keep automatic updates enabled.

Apple® Safari® — most recent version on macOS. Supported; make sure all macOS software updates are applied.

Mozilla® Firefox® — most recent, stable version. Supported; keep automatic updates enabled.

Mobile Devices

On phones and tablets, we recommend the native SoloFire apps for iOS and Android instead of the mobile browser. The native apps deliver the full experience — including offline content access — that a mobile browser can’t.

Requirements for All Browsers

  • JavaScript and cookies must be enabled.
  • A secure (HTTPS/TLS) connection is required; SoloFire communicates over TCP port 443.
  • SoloFire recommends a minimum screen resolution of 1024 × 768 for the best possible experience. Smaller resolutions may not display critical features, or pages may lay out poorly, leaving tools and options inaccessible.
  • Some third-party browser plug-ins and extensions can interfere with the functionality of SoloFire. If you experience malfunctions or inconsistent behavior, disable the browser’s plug-ins and extensions and try again.

Prefer the Native Apps

SoloFire also ships native apps for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows with one feature set and one sign-on across every device — including full offline access to pre-downloaded content. If your team works in the field, the native apps are the recommended way to run SoloFire.
